I am a freelance photographer based in Toronto, Canada. I primarily focus on urban, food, and product photography .
Companies I've worked with:
iHerb, Manitoba Harvest, Hellmann's, Ombar Chocolate, Cetaphill, as well as several local restaurants and boutiques.
I still remember the first film camera I was allowed to use when I was around 7 years old. I loved it. I remember wanting to take it on a week-long school trip with me so I could capture my friends and the surroundings. I was still too young and my mom was afraid I’d lose it so she just snapped a photo of me and my friends and took it back home with her. My first digital camera was a Canon SD950 IS. I got it in 2007 for Christmas and used it for good 8 years. I’ve updated my gear since then but I’ll always have fond memories of the simplicity of shooting with a point-and-shoot.
In April 2015, I started a food blog The Healthful Ideas which is where my passion for photography really took off. I launched the blog to share my weight-loss story and my message with the world but later realised that taking photos for the blog is my favourite part of it all so that's what I decided to pursue.
In spring 2017 I moved from Prague to Toronto and fell in love with photography all over again. Being new to the city, I was out taking photos constantly because there was, and still is, always something new to explore. Moving to Toronto made me venture outside food photography into urban photography which became a huge passion of mine. Besides shooting cityscape and architecture, I love street photography - walking the streets, observing people, and trying to turn mundane everyday moments into something interesting and captivating.
